Josh sometimes misunderstands me. I had told him that I was meeting with his teacher, Mrs. Shover, the next morning. He thought it was after school that I was having a meeting. So, he didn't get on the bus to go home as he figured I would love to give him a ride with me after meeting with his teacher. And consequently, no one was home to answer the phone to find out that he did this. And I was at work and not available to answer my cell phone. So his teacher, Mrs. Shover, (bless her) said she would take him home.
The next morning after I had the meeting with Mrs. Shover, she relayed the ride to our house. She said that Josh was good at telling her how to find our house. He took her on a long winding road around and around, being helpful and pointing out where various children lived. She said that she hadn't seen these children's homes before and was interested in seeing them. Josh continued to tell her to turn here, turn there, still relating whose house they were passing. Finally after 30 minutes he has her turn back onto the main highway. Hmmm, she thought. He had her continue down the road to our road. Had her turn onto it. It was then that she realized that she could have taken the main highway straight to our road and it would have maybe taken her 10 minutes. She thought and thought then realized that Josh took her to our house the only way he knew which was by the bus route. Ha.
